She was nominated for an Oscar for playing a legendary party girl.

And while she’s now a mom-of-three,  Kate Hudson reminisced about the high points of her party life as she appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show this week.

Hudson, 40, shared how the actor Tom Cruise once scaled an 8ft fence to crash one of her parties, held at her mom Goldie Hawn’s home.

‘I’m standing at the door making sure that people who aren’t supposed to be at the party aren’t coming in — there’s like 400 people at my parents’ house,’ she shared. I’m kind of freaking out a little and I see someone scaling — literally scaling — an eight-foot gate at my parents’ house.’

Then she saw something bizarre.

‘They come off and they do a back handspring and pose down and I’m about to yell at this guy,’ she continued, ‘…and it’s Tom Cruise!’

After the obvious burst of delighted laughter, Kate added, ‘I was like, ‘Oh, I didn’t realize you were coming to our party!”

‘Wow. So that’s how he gets everywhere — he just scales things?’ Ellen asked.

‘Yes! He is Mission: Impossible! It was wild,’ Kate replied.

Oliver also shared memories from their party days: ‘I remember breaking a lamp into a million pieces… Mom, if you’re watching this, I’m sorry! She still thinks a dog broke it! Kate would invite the industry people and I’d invite the riffraff.’

Elsewhere in the interview, the sibling duo — who are long estranged from their biological father, musician Bill Hudson — shared a surprising fact about their successful parents Goldie, 74, and her lifelong partner Kurt Russell, 70, who has been with Goldie since 1983.

‘Yes!’, the giddy blonde confessed, before Oliver added: ‘I have too.’

Kate and Oliver’s podcast sees them invite celebrity relatives onto the show to discuss their relationship.

Branding their new project ‘profound,’ Oliver said: ‘We’ve never done anything together creatively so this was a great chance for us to explore the sibling dynamic.
