Courtney Act poses with Takaya Honda and Matty Wilson as she debuts on Neighbours

Drag queen Courtney Act announced her appearance on Australia’s longest-running drama series Neighbours, last year.

And on Friday, the 38-year-old shared a picture alongside her co-stars Takaya Honda and Matty Wilson as she made her debut on the show.

‘UK and Australia, I’m on @neighbours TONIGHT!!! Tune in for my soap opera acting debut!,’ she wrote on Instagram.

In the picture, she posed alongside co-stars Takayah Honda and Matty Wilson – who play the TV show’s first same-sex married couple.

Courtney also shared another picture of herself pointing at her co-star while filming a scene.

In the episode, Takayah and Matty – who play David and Aaron – arrived in Sydney to enjoy the Mardi Gras parade.

While at the festival, the couple ran into Jake Shears from the Scissor Sisters as well as Courtney.

She first announced her appearance on the soap last year, sharing her excitement for landing a role on the soap to Instagram.

‘I’m gonna be on Neighbours! Right, that’s it, I’m done, I’m hanging up my wig. I’ve reached Peak ‘Straya.’ The mythical Fair Go. Advance Australia Fairy!’ she wrote.

‘Thank you to the two lovey gays of Ramsay St, @takayah and @mattywilson,’ she added.

The Neighbours Instagram page also shared a photo of Courtney, Takayah,and Matty posing together before the big event.

‘Happy @sydneymardigras Eve! Have an early treat from us….@courtneyact is going be sashaying on the show next year and news doesn’t get much better than that!’ the caption read.
