The trailer opens with Bea openly sharing her worries about Finn, admitting that something seemed ‘off’ with his state of mind.

Meanwhile it seems that Finn is struggling to cope with the return of his memories as he sets a trap for the mysterious victim of his ‘revenge’ plot.

Finn’s plan will be set in motion as most of Erinsborough’s favourites journey to a remote Island for Elly’s 35th birthday, and it seems unlikely that they will all make it out alive.

It’s unclear who Finn captures to place in his underground bunker, but he is shown hysterically filming his victim before saying: ‘You’ve always been good to me – I didn’t want to hurt you – you gave me no choice!’

Given that Neighbours will mark its anniversary with a week of special post-watershed episodes, the soap doesn’t seem to be holding back in depicting every gruesome moment in Finn’s pursuit.

Neighbours veteran Karl Kennedy seems equally concerned about Bea, as he tells wife Susan: ‘I can’t get through to anyone!’

Paul Robinson also appears to be in the midst of a worried pursuit as he frantically drives through the bush.

Many fans will be hoping that is to do with the return of Prudence Wallace (Denise Van Outen), who first rubbed shoulders with Paul and his wife Teresa in London before wreaking havoc Down Under.

The trailer also shares a glimpse of the long-awaited wedding expo, setting the stage for five couples to exchange their vows.

Among those set to tie the knot are Prue and Gary Canning, who stunned the Street with their surprise engagement late last year.

The five unique weddings will also see the reunion of beloved couples from different decades of Neighbours that didn’t quite make it to the alter the first time.

The trailer also reveals that not all of the wedding guests will survive the ceremonies, as a bomb is planted in one of the gifts leaving the entire guest list in peril.

It ends with Finn’s mind becoming even more distorted, as he struggles to identify whether he is caressing Paige or Elly.

Neighbours will mark its 35 years on screens with five of its usual daytime episodes, which will feature a host of former cast members returning to the infamous Ramsay Street.

These will be coupled with five additional stand-alone primetime 10pm episodes titled Neighbours: End Game.

Neighbours: End Game airs from Monday 16th March – Friday 20th March at 10pm on Channel 5. Neighbours airs Monday – Friday at 1:45pm and 5:30pm on Channel 5.
