Britain’s Got Talent: David Walliams leaves everyone stunned as he brands comedy act a ‘W****R’.

The latest instalment of Britain’s Got Talent kicked off on Saturday night with another batch of hopefuls keen to impress the judges.

However, things took a shocking turn when David Walliams branded contestant Hakan Berg a ‘w****r’,  much to the shock of of the audience and his fellow judges.

But the comedy magician had the last word in the spat, as he cheekily retorted by swearing back at David, 48, as he exited the stage.

The shock exchange came following a series of disastrous acts, which left the judges exasperated.

After witnessing some shocking auditions including an unfunny guinea pig and a belly-dancing Chewbacca, the judges were at the end of their tether with Amanda Holden declaring: ‘I feel like I’m being tortured!’

While Simon Cowell exclaimed: ‘I don’t know if I can take any more of this!’

However, their hopes were restored as Hakan, a 43-year-old performer from Stockholm, took to the stage with his weird but hilarious magic act involving birds, a segway and a dry ice machine.

The act left the judges and the audience howling with laughter, with Alesha Dixon saying afterwards: ‘I thought it was absolutely hilarious. Brilliantly barking mad and funny in all the right places.’

But David then shocked when it came go his own critique as he insulted Hakan while giving his verdict.

He said: ‘I just love things that are absolutely silly. But when you did come in, I did think ‘he seems like a bit of a w****r!’

His remark caused Alesha to turn to him open-mouthed, while Amanda and Simon found it hilarious.

As Hakan seemingly took the comment in his stride, David then added: ‘I was wrong, I was wrong!

With Simon then chipping in: ‘Like when I first me you!’

The music mogul then added: ‘The interesting thing about you is that the less we know about you, it makes you more interesting.’

To which Amanda replied: ‘Do you think if we’d got to know him, he’d be boring?’

Simon then continued with his comments, saying: ‘You’re funny and I think you’re clever’, while Amanda added: ‘You are very natural and I think it was very Tommy Cooper-esque.’

After receiving for yeses and a round of applause from the audience, Hakan then went to make his way off stage.

David’s fellow judges found the retort highly amusing, with Simon shouting to his pal: ‘Back at you, back at you!’ 

Meanwhile, the show also featured other humorous acts including stripping pianist Emmanuel Vass, busker Krysztof Werkowicz who blasts fireballs out of his tuba and comedy magician Jack Beavis.

What’s up with Chew? Dawn Xiana Moon donned a Wookie costume to dance to Britney Spears’ Toxic, but gthe judges were not impressed

It also saw Dawn Xiana Moon don a Wookie costume to dance to Britney Spears’ Toxic and a stand-up comedian guinea pig named Patch – with all these acts failing to impress the judges and failing to make it to the next round.

More successful acts however included danger act, Claire-Marie and Jason, who wowed the audience with their knife-throwing audition.

They even took the danger to the next level by recruiting Simon and David to join the act, much to David’s horror. 

While hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly seemed delighted by the prospect of seeing Simon risk his life, announcing off-stage: ‘I mean we’re all for this!’

Elsewhere, Crissy Lee, 76, stunned everyone as she took to drums and wowed with her impressive skills, playing along to some classic rock hits. 

And dance troop VA Kids put on a wonderfully, whimsical display to perform an Alice in Wonderland themed routine.

The judges were very impressed, most notably Simon, who strangely compared them to his five-year-old son Eric. 

He said: ‘I loved it, the only criticism I had was that a couple of you, rather than looking scary, made the kind of faces my son Eric makes at me.’

To which a shocked David replied: ‘

The 14-year-old left everyone moved as sand sang and played the piano to Salvation by Gabrielle Aplin.

Following her performance, Alesha said: ‘What a sweet sweet girl, my heart has just melted. It was a massive deal, massive stage, you sang beautifully.’

While Amanda added: ‘I found the entire audition so poignant, you’re just so beautiful and vivacious, you kind of just exude lightness, it was just brilliant.’

Britain’s Got Talent continues Saturday at 8pm on ITV.
