Jesse Tyler Ferguson and his husband Justin Mikita welcomed their first child on Tuesday.
Though the couple stepped out for some alone time on Thursday, as they grabbed coffee in their Los Feliz neighborhood of Los Angeles.
The first time fathers were sure to don face masks, as coverings remain mandatory in California amid the coronavirus pandemic.

The couple looked casual and donned similar outfits of tees, shorts and sneakers.
Jesse, 44, wore a plain blue tee, with black shorts that he teamed with black sneakers and high black socks.
His brown sunglasses hung on his shirts, as a blue face mask covered his mouth and nose, and a beige hat shielded his eyes.
The Modern Family actor, flashes a peace sign with his fingers to photographers as he walked home with a Blue Bottle paper coffee cup in hand.

Meanwhile, Justin opted for grey camouflage print shorts, a striped grey Nike tee, grey sneakers and high black socks.
He also covered his mouth and nose with a grey face mask and wore a blue baseball cap backwards on his head.
The 34-year-old LA native, also carried a coffee cup as well as a small paper bag, likely with a tasty treat inside.

‘The new parents are overjoyed and excited for this new journey as a family-of-three,’ the rep said.
Jesse confirmed he and Justin, were officially expanding their family in January, during an appearance on The Late Late Show With James Corden.
‘This is something I haven’t even mentioned to anyone, if we could just keep it between the three of us and you all, but I’m actually expecting a baby in July with my husband,’ he gushed.
The TV star said: ‘I’m actually expecting a baby in July with my husband.’

Adding: ‘I’m very excited but it feels like I’m 44 now, let’s get this show going. Tik tok,’ he said pointing to his watch.
Jesse announced his engagement to Justin in September of 2012, after dating for two years.
The duo said their I do’s in New York City on July 20, 2013 with Tony Kushner, a playwright and screenwriter, officiating the wedding.
After wrapping 11 seasons on his hit ABC sitcom, Jesse became the new host of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition in February.
