Teen Mom vet Kailyn Lowry, 28, says her weight is causing problems with her ‘high risk’ pregnancy

Kailyn Lowry is pregnant with her fourth child.

But this pregnancy has not been as easy as the previous ones, the Teen Mom star told Lindsie Chrisley on her Coffee Convos podcast on Thursday.

‘I am at the heaviest weight I’ve ever been; before I got pregnant and then obviously now while I’m pregnant,’ the 28-year-old said. ‘So that’s been a little hard.’

A struggle: Kailyn Lowry is pregnant with her fourth child. But this pregnancy has not been as easy as the previous ones, the Teen Mom star told Lindsie Chrisley on her Coffee Convos podcast on Thursday

She added, ‘But also I haven’t had any real complications. Like, I just haven’t. My glucose is good. All my stuff is good. So I went into the doctor today and I saw a new doctor.’

She is expecting her fourth child with Chris Lopez. Together they already have a son Lux, aged two.

She is also the mother of sons Isaac, 10, with ex Jo Rivera and Lincoln, aged six, with ex-husband Javi Marroquin.

Lowry shared that she was told by the doctor her blood levels needed to be looked at closely.

‘I know that I’m anemic and I’ve known that I’m anemic for years, but he was telling me how he wanted to make sure I was taking my iron and I said, “Yeah,” and he told me that with every pregnancy you lose more blood, which is new to me,’ she said.

‘Why is this the first time that I’m hearing this with baby No. four at over 37 weeks?’ added the TV personality.

This news has changed her delivery plans.

‘This is now the third doctor that’s giving me a different reason for why I should be induced instead of home birth,’ she said.

‘And then on top of it said, “Because you’re anemic, because you lose more blood with every baby, we wouldn’t want to see you get a blood transfusion.”‘

The good news: She added, 'But also I haven't had any real complications. Like, I just haven't. My glucose is good. All my stuff is good. So I went into the doctor today and I saw a new doctor'

But she may still go through with a home birth.

‘I’m gonna go confirm,’ she added. ‘I have a high-risk doctor or whatever. The only reason why I’m high-risk at this point is because of my weight, and everything seems to be fine.’

In February she had a gender reveal party that shared she is expecting a son.

‘Although I already knew & felt it in my bones… the boys had no idea. GENDER REVEAL,’ she captioned an image of herself with her kids holding confetti poppers.

While she wore a pink shawl, like Issac, all her other boys wore blue signaling they were rooting for another brother.

When the reality star hit 16 weeks, she confirmed the news of her upcoming addition with a photo of herself in bed with her three kids holding up a strip of sonogram pictures.

‘We’re confirming the news, baby #4 is coming soon!’ she captioned the sweet image before detailing her difficult pregnancy and opting not to tag or pose with her baby daddy.

‘I’m almost 16 weeks pregnant & it’s been a rough few months this time around. I’ve had nausea, morning sickness, and absolutely no energy,’ she wrote. ‘This week I’m starting to feel a bit better and I’m really hoping it stays this way.’

While her pregnancy has been rough, she shone a spotlight on the app, Peanut, a social network for women to connect across fertility and motherhood, to her nearly 4 million followers.

‘Going through nausea and morning sickness while trying to keep the news a secret can be quite isolating,’ she lamented in the paid post. ‘There are so many helpful threads on the app from other women who have been through it too. It’s always reassuring to know you’re not alone.’

When asked about her relationship with on-again-off-again boyfriend Lopez last month during the Teen Mom 2 reunion, she said, ‘There’s no co-parenting right now. Right now, he is just working and going to therapy as far as I know. Working on himself. And I know he will see Lux when the time is right.’

The couple have a complicated relationship, but are open about their struggles.

Last year, the reality star joined the “Watch With Us” podcast and said, ‘Chris and I are always together even when we’re not together — if that makes any sense.

She also spoke up about why he chooses not to appear on Teen Mom 2.

‘I think he kind of feels like it’s my thing,’ she added. ‘He’s watched Jo, Javi and other people take advantage of me being on the show and the platform that it brings them … and I think that he doesn’t want to be that person.’
