LaKeith Stanfield has assured fans he’s ‘ok’ following some concerning social media posts. 

The Get Out actor, 28, took to Instagram on Tuesday to apologize for earlier posts which appeared to hint at intentions of self-harm by the star. 

‘I’m ok everyone!’ read the post. “I appreciate everyone checking in on me but I’m good. Im not harming myself. Much love [ROSE EMOJI]’

Stanfield captioned the post, ‘I’m ok everyone I apologize for making you worry.’

The since-deleted posts all showed a bottle of prescription medication Carvedilol, which is commonly used to treat high blood pressure and heart failure.

One post showed Stanfield pouring a clear liquid that appeared to be alcohol into the pill container along with the caption, ‘I like to be by myself because i can hurt myself and no one tells me to stop or fakes like they care’.

Another showed him holding the open pill bottle with the caption ‘Bottoms up’.

‘Outside is crazy imma just stay inside form [sic] now on,’ read another caption.

LaKeith’s Bojack Horseman costar Patton Oswald expressed concern for the star on Twitter, before confirming he was ‘okay’.

‘Just got confirmation Lakeith is okay,’ wrote the actor. ‘Sorry if I overreacted. Okay getting off Twitter for awhile. Text or DM someone you haven’t texted or DM’ed in awhile and tell them a cool memory you have about them. Good night’.

The Knives Out actor’s publicity team Platform PR reassured fans that Stanfield was safe in a Tuesday tweet.

‘Everyone! LaKeith is well. Thank you for the concern. We have spoken to him. The love you all have is appreciated.’

The actor will next be seen in the film Judas and the Black Messiah, playing William O’Neal.

Daniel Kaluuya also stars as Fred Hampton, who rose to prominence as chairman of the Illinois chapter of the Black Panther party, in the new Warner Bros. film.

The film will be released in theaters in 2021, though no specific release date was given yet, with the trailer (via Warner Bros. Pictures YouTube) offering a first look.
