He recently stripped down to his boardshorts for an Instagram snap taken at the beach. 

And on Wednesday, James Magnussen took things a step further as he posed for a picture in a pair of tiny Speedos.

In the image shared to his Instagram, the 29-year-old highlighted his bulging quad muscles as he stood alongside his girlfriend Rose McEvoy in an elevator.

‘Can I still swim with these things? Sign me up for the 25m freestyle for Tokyo,’ James captioned the image. 

This comes after James revealed he is considering a move and asked his fans to weigh in. 

On Sunday, the SAS Australia star shared a photo of himself at the beach to Instagram and asked if he should live in the Sydney suburbs of Bondi or Balmain. 

He wrote: ‘Spent all weekend at Bondi… now I’m thinking I should move there. Sydney folks – Balmain or Bondi??’

Some famous faces weighed in, including swimmer Stephanie Rice, 32, who appears not to be a fan of Bondi. 

She insisted, ‘Notttttt Bondi’ in her answer, clearly voting against the popular beachside suburb.  

Comedian and SAS co-star Merrick Watts also threw in his two cents, making a joke about James’ attire.

James also held a poll, with over 60 percent of fans voting for Bondi over Balmain, which had close to 40 percent of the votes.  

The former swimmer’s day out at the beach comes after he was brutally eliminated from the selection process in the finale of SAS Australia. 

He was told by the Directing Staff he ‘just wasn’t enough’ and was asked to hand in his number.
