Sam Burgess enjoys quality time with his son Billy amid his legal battle with ex-wife Phoebe and her father
Sam Burgess was all smiles as he enjoyed quality time with his one-year-old son Billy on Wednesday.
The NRL star, 31, shared a series of photos to Instagram while he spent time outdoors with his son.
‘Yeah buddy – my happy little egg,’ he captioned the pictures.

In one photo, Sam smiled for the camera while Billy sat on his lap and looked into the distance.
In another image, the pair are both laughing while looking at the camera.

The former couple married in 2015 at her parents’ country estate near Bowral, but separated in September last year.
Phoebe and Sam broke up for a second time, just months after they had rekindled their marriage following an initial split in December 2018.
Sam is accused of assaulting Phoebe’s father at the sprawling Hooke family home, although no actual physical violence has been alleged against him.

Police have also taken out an interim AVO to protect Mr Hooke from Burgess, who has had no contact with his former father-in-law for more than a year.
The charges and the AVO stem from an October 2019 incident at the Hookes’ estate.
Meanwhile, Sam’s lawyers have accused either Phoebe, Mitchell or both of leaking damaging claims about Sam to the media.
