Bridgerton’s Phoebe lands her first high profile fashion campaign

She shot to overnight stardom after playing lead character Phoebe Dynevor in the Netflix period drama phenomenon, Bridgerton.

And since her starring role, Phoebe Dynevor has branched out into modelling as she lands her first high profile fashion campaign with Self-Portrait.

The actress, 25, looked incredible in a series of stylish looks from the women’s clothing brand’s Autumn Winter 2021 Collection.

Wow! Phoebe Dynevor has branched out into modelling as she lands her first high profile fashion campaign with Self-Portrait

Phoebe kept her make-up pared back and wore her brunette locks in loose waves, while keeping the attention on her fashionable attire.

In one snap she sported a ruched orange top with statement shoulders and a square neckline, teamed with a pair of burgundy trousers.

The look was pulled together with a chunky black belt, which cinched her middle and accentuated her svelte physique.

In a separate shot, Phoebe lounged in a doorway with her legs up resting up against the frame, wearing a blue dress with buttons down the front.

While in another she looked ethereal in a pretty white dress with beaded detailing around the neckline and top half of the garment.

The skirt of the dress puffed out as she sat positioned on the floor beside a fallen chair for the edgy shot.

Speaking about working with the brand, Phoebe said: ‘I was delighted and honoured that Han chose me to work with him and such a talented team on his latest collection.

‘I first spotted one of his dresses on a photoshoot and it was an instant love affair.  Han’s collections for Self-Portrait have always been an inspiration, I love the strong structures he creates from such delicate and stunning fabrics and this collection is a testament to his incredible work.’

‘I’m so proud to be a part of this new project and hope to have a chance to wear the pieces when life goes back to normal again!’

Han Chong, Self-Portrait Founder and Creative Director, said: ‘As I was designing this latest collection, I was thinking a lot about the British sensibility and that effortless approach to British style, which I am so often inspired by.

‘I felt we needed to work with someone to bring this to life rather than present the collection in a traditional show format and having captured the hearts and imaginations of so many people over the last few months, I knew Phoebe would be the perfect woman.

‘The moment I met her, I loved how down-to-earth she was whilst still having this incredible spirit and energy that perfectly emulates the attitude and values of the Self-Portrait brand.

‘She is warm, independent, sensitive, expressive and completely captivating. It’s been a real joy getting to know and work with Phoebe and I’m incredibly excited to have her on this journey with us.’

The glam shoot comes after Phoebe admitted it would have been ‘very complicated’ if she’d dated her Bridgerton love interest Regé-Jean Page.

The chemistry between the co-stars had fuelled speculation of a real-life romance but the actress has insisted things have always been ‘strictly professional’.

And although ‘glad’ to have not complicated things while filming the Netflix series, Phoebe has admitted that she’s ‘intrigued’ by the idea of an on-set relationship.

She told You magazine: ‘I’d love to say there was really something between us [Regé-Jean]. But no, it has always been strictly professional.

‘There was so much pressure on us to get it right that it was all about the work. We have a really professional working relationship. I’m glad for that, actually. It would be very complicated if it went further.’

The actress added that she’s ‘intrigued’ by the idea of finding love on-set.

She said: ‘I always hear about people falling in love with their co-stars. It’s yet to happen to me, but I’m intrigued.’

In the show, Phoebe’s Daphne and Regé-Jean’s character Simon try to fool the ton into thinking they’re in love before actually developing feelings for each other.

The duo star in a number of racy scenes, which sparked many viewers to believe there might be something between them off camera.

And although they’ve stayed coy on the romance rumours, Phoebe has now admitted she’s reached a point where she thinks she needs to shut them down.

She told You magazine: ‘People really root for us. We have to say we’re actors, we’re doing a job, there is something to be said for not spoiling the magic… but at a certain point you have to say ‘no’.’

Bridgerton quickly proved to be a massive success after its Christmas Day launch, being watched by 82million households in its first month.
