Peter Andre reveals he was ‘so sad’ not to attend his sister Debbie’s wedding in Australia

Peter Andre has revealed he was ‘so sad’ not to be able to attend his sister Debbie’s recent wedding in Australia.

The singer, 47, was unable to make the journey due to the coronavirus pandemic and instead joined his sibling and other family members on video.

Writing in his new! magazine column, Peter told how he and his brother Chris and his friend Wendi Harriott performed a virtual rendition of Lionel Richie’s Endless Love for the day.

He said: ‘It was so sad missing my sister Debbie’s wedding in Australia, but I’m glad we were able to be a part of it virtually.

Peter watched the ceremony in the middle of the night UK time alongside his wife Emily while his children Princess Tiammii, 13, and Junior, 15, who he shares with ex Katie Price, watched in their rooms.

‘It was such a bittersweet situation not to be there physically, but I was grateful to be a part of the day. The ceremony was at 4am UK time so Emily and I watched it from bed and J and P from their rooms.

‘I was also pleased my mum and dad were there and I’m grateful Debbie and her husband Joe for looking after them.

Elsewhere, the Mysterious Girl hitmaker wrote in his column that he is looking forward to his 48th birthday on Saturday.

Peter said he feels ‘great’ for his age and, although he previously found turning 40 very hard, he know loves ageing.

It comes after Peter shared some sweet throwback snaps from a night out with his doctor wife Emily, which he shared with fans on Friday, proving they are as loved-up as ever.

The singer looked smitten with the medical professional, 31, as he wrapped his arms around her shoulders and leaned in to kiss her cheek.

Emily appeared to be in good spirits as she smiled brightly for the camera as the couple enjoyed a night out on the town.

The couple have been happily married since 2015, and share daughter Amelia, seven, and son Theo, four, together.

Peter recently revealed the reason he hides Amelia and Theo’s faces from his fans on Instagram.

In his latest YouTube video, Peter confessed that it’s because Emily doesn’t want their children to be recognised at school.

He said: ‘So Emily’s point is that they weren’t born into the media – no one has ever seen their faces.

‘So she doesn’t really want anyone to see their faces, so when they go to school no one can really recognise them.’

Peter then went on to explain that the situation with his two older children; Junior and Princess, from his marriage with Katie Price is different because ‘they have always been in the media’.

‘Obviously from J and P from day one, we were documenting our lives and they were part of that, so I think they have always been in the media. And that’s the reasoning.

‘So I have to respect Emily for that. She hasn’t done it. She says once you do cross that, there’s no going back so I’m like, “OK, no problem”‘.

And while Emily chooses to keep her children hidden from the limelight, Peter’s ex-wife Katie has been praised for letting TV cameras document son Harvey’s journey to find a residential college.

Harvey – who is on the autism spectrum and was born with disabilities including partial blindness, ADHD and Prader-Willi syndrome – appeared in the emotional Harvey And Me.

Katie also shares daughter Bunny, 5, and son Jett, 6, with ex-husband Kieran Hayler.
