Celebs Go Dating: The Mansion drew to a close on Thursday night.

But love guru Paul Carrick Brunson has revealed he quit the show after an argument with a ‘disrespectful’ cast member which could have ended in a fight.

In a statement posted on his LinkedIn, the 45-year-old said he ‘snapped’ in an ‘off camera verbal altercation’ with one of the celebs on the E4 show.

The American said he had no tolerance for one celebrity who was rude to Anna Williamson and client coordinator Tom Read-Wilson on the match-making series.

In the post, he wrote: ‘I never say goodbye but this time it’s different. Even though I made friends this series I’ll have for life, and I’m grateful for the opportunity, I was more than happy to leave once we wrapped.’

The dating expert revealed he spent time away from his family while filming the new season of the show which ‘didn’t work well’ for him.

He said: ‘For this series because of filming restrictions due to Covid, (my wife) Jill and the boys stayed in the US while I moved to Surrey for 45 days of filming.

‘Being away from my family for an extended period didn’t work well for me. On set my tolerance for bulls**t was non existent.

‘The moment I felt someone was acting in the agency I turned them out. The second someone hinted at disrespecting Anna, Tom, the crew, or myself, I snapped.

‘For the first time I got into an off camera verbal altercation with a Celeb. Real talk, if it wasn’t for daily meditation, exercise and CBD I would’ve put my hands on them.’

The star went on to say that he’d ‘never again break the promise’ to his wife that they’d travel together as a family if they were working abroad.

He said: ‘All this underscores a big lesson for me, my family is my strength. I literally need to be with them to function. They ground, replenish and light me up. My family is my greatest treasure.’

During the last episode of the show, fans of the show took to Twitter to slam Curtis Pritchard.

The episode saw all the celebs and their respective partners taking part in a ‘Commit Or Quit’ ceremony, which took place in front of all the other contestants.

Mostly it was a pleasant affair, with the pairings gushing over one another and agreeing to continue seeing each other romantically on the outside world.

But the pro ballroom dancer humiliated his date after she told him she’d like to see him again.

‘Why did Curtis go into the mansion if he wanted to commit to himself?’ one person tweeted.

A second penned: ‘Lads like Curtis are the worst, joins a dating agency but what’s to focus on himself! Get out man!’

Elsewhere on the series finale, Kimberly Hart-Simpson and her beau Shane Finlayson said ‘I love you’ to one another, while Sophie Hermann and Tom Zanetti shared a kiss on-screen after their bathroom smooch the night before.

As the series wrapped up, Curtis insisted he needed to ‘love himself’ before being able to ‘love someone else’.
