Chris Martin cuts a casual figure in white jumper and joggers as he enjoys a bike ride in Malibu

Chris Martin was spotted cutting a casual figure as he took a bike ride in Malibu, California.

The Coldplay frontman, 44, was wrapped up warm as he sported a white jumper with a colourful striped pattern embroidered onto it, which he paired with jeans and trainers.

He added a green scarf to his neck and wore a baseball cap on top of his head, as he was seen riding atop of the bike on a nearby street.

Chris also made sure to keep safe amid the ongoing pandemic, by adding a black face mash over his mouth.

At one point, he also stopped to chat to a passerby, who was seemingly asking for directions.

Chris has been living in Malibu since 2016 following his divorce from ex-wife Gwyneth Paltrow, 48, and moved in with current girlfriend Dakota Johnson, 31, last October.

The pair are currently staying at a lavish mansion in the area, which reportedly costs $12.5 million.

A source told People last month: ‘Chris was always a big fan of Malibu. He loves the beach and often goes surfing and running.’

The insider also suggested that Dakota – who owns her own house in Hollywood Hills – ‘seemed like more of a city girl’ before she met the singer and began dating him.

‘She seems to enjoy it as much as Chris does,’ the source continued. ‘They both love the outdoors and often take beach strolls. They also support local restaurants.’

They also said that the couple often head to Los Angeles to have Sunday dinners with Gwyneth and her husband Brad Falchuk, 49, as well as her and Chris’ kids, Apple, 16, and Moses, 14.

The insider added: ‘It’s obvious that everyone still gets along great.’

It comes after it was previously reported that Coldplay were reportedly set to release their ninth studio album, their first release in two years, called Music Of The Spheres.

It was claimed last month that the band, which consists of Chris alongside Jon Buckland, Guy Berryman and Will Champion, have been recording music throughout lockdown.

According to reports, the group have registered to trademark the name of their new album, ahead of making an official announcement.

A source told The Sun: ‘Chris and Co have been dropping hints for a while but now it’s finally getting off the ground.

‘They’ve been busy working on new music during lockdown and it’ll all culminate in the record, which has the working title Music Of The Spheres.

‘Chris and the group have now officially trademarked the name ready for an album. It also includes merchandise and everything they’d need for a tour.’

Coldplay’s representatives declined to comment when approached by MailOnline.
