Married At First Sight couple Booka Nile and Brett Helling finally consummated their marriage following a successful Post-It note challenge on the show last week.

And after waking up in bed together on October 7, the couple couldn’t wipe the smiles off their faces as they headed out for a romantic lunch date. 

Booka and Brett, both 31, appeared to on cloud nine as they left their Sydney hotel to grab a bite to eat at a nearby Nando’s.

While the couple didn’t hold hands, the Perth-based musician and her electrician ‘husband’ were similarly dressed casually for their brief outing.

Booka opted for a pair of dark stonewash grey cropped pants, which tapered in towards the ankle.

She also donned a long-sleeve black T-shirt, which was printed with a red and white logo and lettering.

Her long blonde hair was worn loose under a red beret, and she rounded out her casual ensemble with a pair of white sneakers.

Meanwhile, Brett stepped out in a pair of faded black Nike tracksuit pants and camouflage sneakers.

He also wore a black T-shirt emblazoned with a version of the Australian Aboriginal flag, which read: ‘Always was, always will be’.

No wonder! The romantic sighting comes after it was revealed the couple had consummated their relationship after moving into a Sydney apartment together

They made their way into their local Nando’s restaurant, where they perused a menu before placing their order.

The sighting comes just days after Brett and Booka revealed they’ve had a romantic breakthrough.

‘We made some progress with our physical affection,’ Brett gushed to producers on the show last week.

‘Yeah it’s happened. It’s good,’ Brett said. ‘[The Post-it note] task was good for us…’ he added.

Brett said he was happy to have waited for the timing to be right and said that it was much more romantic rather than diving straight into it. 

Booka previously expressed concerns Brett may not be attracted to her.

‘I’m starting to wonder a little bit about whether he’s physically attracted to me or not,’ she told producers during Wednesday’s episode.

But to her surprise, Brett said: ‘I like that you are comfortable being yourself, and you don’t try to be anyone else. It’s very admirable .’

‘I struggled to find five things I don’t like about her,’ he told producers.

‘I’m much more excited about telling her all the positives, ’cause that’s something that’ll help create a positive relationship,’ he added.

Married At First Sight continues Monday at 7.30pm on Channel Nine
