Samara Weaving reveals what it was like working with Nicole Kidman on Nine Perfect Strangers and the one moment that made her ‘jaw hit the ground’


Former Home and Away star Samara Weaving has revealed what it was like working with acclaimed actress Nicole Kidman on Nine Perfect Strangers. 

In a Q&A with fans for Amazon Prime Video, Samara, 29, recalled the moment she met the Oscar winner on-set. 

All cast members were introduced to each other by director Jonathan Levine during their very first scene at Tranquillum House in Byron Bay.

Samara said her ‘jaw hit the ground’ when she laid eyes on the Hollywood beauty. 

‘I didn’t really have to act because my jaw hit the ground, and she floated,’ Samara recalled. 

‘It was really amazing – it was so good for the director to do that.’

The 29-year-old described her scenes with The Hours star as emotional. 

‘I did some really intense scenes with Nicole, like crying in front of her and then like, ”okay, well, now you’re friends”,’ she said. 

Samara plays Jessica Chandler in the series – a social media influencer obsessed with her appearance. 

She recently admitted she wore fake teeth to make her lips look bigger for the role.

‘The first day of filming, when we did the camera tests, I had lots of fake tan and really long nails,’ she told Digital Spy. 

‘I had wire pulling my face up to help give me that face lift kind of look, and fake teeth,’ she added.  

Meanwhile, Nicole plays resort director Masha in the popular series.
