A heartbroken Ivan Sarakula helped himself to an entire cheese board during Wednesday’s episode of Married At First Sight, and fans thought it was one of the most relatable moments of the whole season.
After being told by ‘wife’ Aleks Markovic that she only saw him as a friend during the previous night’s episode, Ivan, 30, made himself comfortable on the couch with an entire cheese board on his lap during the latest dinner party.
‘The experts: “Awww no Ivan is reaching for the food now. He’s taking comfort in eating”. Me: I have never related to anything more in my life,’ tweeted one viewer.

Others described the real estate agent as their ‘spirit animal’, with some admitting they’ve done the same thing when left devastated.
‘Ivan is my spirit animal tonight, sitting over there comfort eating with the whole charcuterie board on his lap,’ wrote one person, while another added: ‘Ivan comfort eating… been there, my friend!’
Added another: ‘He’s hoeing into the food. He’s taking comfort in cheese. Ivan is me in male form.’
Some described the sad scene as a ‘whole vibe’ and a ‘mood’.
Relatable: Fans rushed to social media to share their support for Ivan after he proceeded to eat his feelings. Many found his reaction relatable and something they’d done when upset
‘Ivan nursing then [sic] cheesing platter is a whole vibe,’ commented one viewer, while another added, ‘Ivan hoarding the cheeseboard bc [because] he’s upset is such a me mood I respect that.’
Another wrote: ‘Watching Sad Ivan comfort eat his way through a cheese platter is a [completely relatable] mood.’
One person went so far as to describe Ivan’s fondness for the cheese board as the show’s ‘best relationship’.

During Wednesday night’s episode, a sad-looking Ivan spotted the cheese board before hoisting it onto his lap and proceeding to stuff it in his mouth.
‘Oh, Ivan looks completely flat, defeated,’ observed relationship expert Mel Schilling, before adding he was ‘taking comfort in food’.
Added fellow expert John Aiken: ‘He’s hoeing into the cheese now!’
Ivan confessed to co-star Michael Goonan that he was still in love with Aleks, despite her repeatedly telling him she only saw him as a friend.
