Celebs Go Dating’s Matt Sarsfield has an emotional heart-to-heart with Charlotte Dawson as the couple go through their relationship cleanse

Charlotte Dawson was left emotional after her boyfriend Matt Sarsfield tried to patch things up between them on Sunday’s episode Celebs Go Dating.

The reality star, 27, sat in stunned silence while rugby player Matt, 28, poured his heart out during a dinner date as part of their relationship cleanse.

It comes after the pair struggled over trust issues, with Charlotte lying to Matt several times about her partying habits, an even attempting to secretly go to Coachella last year.

‘Well, we wasn’t really getting anywhere, going around in the same circles week in week out,’ said Matt.

‘Whereas now you are actually buying into thinking of why we’re in this position, and for me it makes me love you even more see you be like that because it means that you care and you want us to do well.

‘I’m going to thank you for that.’ he adds, before cracking a smile.

Charlotte, taken aback by Matt’s words, replied: ‘This experience has made me realise how much I’ve let you down. I’ve put everybody else before you.

‘I’ve realised that I want to be with you for the rest of my life.

As the series’ only couple going through relationship counselling, they have struggled to create any romance because of the clashing personalities and lifestyles.

They have also struggled to compromise for the sake of the relationship, even arguing over Matt’s exercise bike that he has left in their hallway.

But the Celebs Go Dating agents Paul Carrick Brunson and Anna Williamson have been on hand to set them up with a series of dates and activities, including a spa day, to help them rekindle their love.

‘A lack of quality time together has been a major factor in Charlotte and Matt’s issues, so these kind of commitments to focusing more on each other are welcome,’ said Anna.

‘And there’ll be more quality time for what we have planned on their next date.’
