Married At First Sight’s Elizabeth Sobinoff reveals she’s had death threats

Married At First Sight‘s Elizabeth Sobinoff and KC Osborne have hit back at their trolls following weeks of relentless abuse on social media.

The brides labelled the trolling ‘disgusting’, ‘wrong’ and potentially dangerous during an appearance on Talking Married this week.

Elizabeth, 28, who also appeared on last year’s season of MAFS, said that the online attacks have been much worse this year.

‘It’s not on’: Married At First Sight’s Elizabeth Sobinoff, 28, and KC Osbourne spoke about the ‘disgusting’ online abuse they’ve received from trolls this season

‘This year’s worse. For instance, I’d actually personally never had a death threat… I’ve had two [this season],’ she told Talking Married host Shelley Horton.

‘It’s disgusting and people have got to realise we’re people as well. It’s not on. We’re real people,’ Elizabeth added.

She went on to question why it’s now acceptable to hurl abuse at reality TV stars.

Elizabeth questioned why receiving online hate has become something to be expected'why is it expected that that is just something that corresponds with doing something like [MAFS]?'

‘People do actually kill themselves from things like this’: KC , 31, issued a sober warning about how online abuse affects people’s mental health

‘I just don’t understand, people won’t ever say it to your face, it’s something you won’t do, so why is it expected that that is just something that corresponds with doing something like [MAFS]?’ she asked.

KC, 31, also hit back at her online haters, issuing a sober warning about how online abuse affects people’s mental health.

‘It actually makes me really upset because people do actually kill themselves from things like this,’ she warned.

Elizabeth and KC are the latest of several participants to speak out about online abuse this season.

Earlier this month, Daily Mail Australia obtained a video of Stacey Hampton, 26, declaring that she won’t stand for trolls bullying her family and the rest of the cast.

The clip showed Stacey sitting on her bed, telling the camera: ‘If you’re slagging off on me, I love it, I don’t care, call me gold digger, I’ll laugh. I love Gold Digger by Kanye West and that’s gonna be my ringtone. Don’t care.’

‘But, when you bring other people into it, kids. Juvenile kids. Innocent people, parties who did not sign the contract, that’s disgusting,’ she said.

‘It’s not okay to bully, put someone down or make someone feel like s**t when you’ve never met that person in your entire life,’ she raged to the camera.
