Kerry Katona fears she may have coronavirus as she suffers from a ‘dry cough and sore throat’ after eldest daughter Molly, 18, showed symptoms

Kerry Katona fears she may have coronavirus as she suffers from a dry cough and sore throat, just days after revealing her eldest daughter Molly McFadden is showing symptoms from the virus.

The reality star, 39, admitted her anxiety is ‘through the roof’ as she follows government guidelines to self-isolate at home after experiencing ‘dizzy’ sensations.

In her new! magazine column, the media personality shared: ‘As I write this, I’ve got some symptoms too. I’ve got a dry cough and sore throat, and I feel weak and dizzy sometimes, so we are isolating ourselves for as long as we need to.’

The former Atomic Kitten singer said she and her daughter Molly, 18, have yet to be tested, but was left ‘frightened’ when a health specialist came to their house in ‘head to toe in scrubs and a mask’.

She explained: ‘We haven’t been tested, but the doctor says we need to be cautious, so no one’s leaving this house for the foreseeable.

On Thursday, specialist nose and throat doctors began urging the Government to recognise a lost sense of taste or smell as a tell-tale coronavirus symptom.

ENT UK, which represents ear, nose and throat experts around the country, said there is evidence a ‘significant’ number of patients suffer these effects.

Currently, the only symptoms the NHS lists as ones which make coronavirus likely are a recurring cough or a fever or high temperature.

Other less often reported symptoms include headaches, sickness, diarrhoea and a blocked nose, according to World Health Organization data.

Last week, TV personality Kerry took to Instagram to reveal her fears for her daughter, who she shares with ex-husband Brian McFadden, and how it’s been a ‘really scary time’ as she struggled to find accurate advice.

However, the songstress was soon relieved as she sought helped from This Morning’s Dr. Ranj, with Kerry later sharing the advice she received to other worried mums.

The musician shared her relief once Dr Ranj reached out to her, and uploaded a post titled: ‘Information for parents on kids and coronavirus’ which gives parents tips if their child is suffering from COVIOD-19 symptoms.

She also thanked the former Strictly Come Dancing contestant and admitted she felt ‘so much better’ after taking his advice.

She penned: ‘Just been sent this which has the correct information on! Which makes me and I’m sure many others so much better!

‘Being a mother of 5 and my eldest having the symptoms it’s been really scary stay safe people and stay home thank you to @drranj for sending me this xxx (sic).’
