Claudia Winkleman appeals for help as her long fringe covers her eyes amid lockdown

‘If anyone knows how to trim it with an old pair of kitchen scissors, call me!’ Claudia Winkleman appeals for help with her long fringe amid lockdown

She’s become well-known for her signature block fringe, with the star previously joking she hasn’t seen her forehead in 15 years.

But Claudia Winkleman has admitted she’s struggling to maintain her statement look as her tresses have grown a tad too long amid the UK’s coronavirus lockdown.

In a playful clip uploaded to Instagram on Wednesday, the Strictly Come Dancing presenter, 48, appealed for help among her social media followers while stressing the importance of isolating during the global crisis.

With her fringe covering her eyes, the media personality said: ‘Hello, it’s Claudia Winkleman here. I just wanted to check-in, I hope you’re doing OK.

‘I just want to say I know we’re on lockdown and however much you might be fantasising about seeing your friend who’s great at hairdressing, please don’t, please stay at home, please stay safe.

‘If you actually genuinely do know how to trim a fringe with an old pair of kitchen scissors, call me. United we stand, together at home.’

COVID-19 has been classed a pandemic by the World Health Organisation (WHO), and as of Wednesday, the virus has claimed 6,159 lives in the UK alone.

Last month, UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson ordered the immediate closure of all non-essential shops and threatened people with fines or even arrest if they do not ‘stay at home’ amid the global crisis.

Meanwhile, Claudia confessed she does not take her Strictly Come Dancing position for granted as she admitted she fears for her job.

In an interview with Daily Star Sunday, the host – who reportedly earns £450,000 a year – explained: ‘If they’ll have me, I’ll keep doing it. But I assume I’ll be fired any minute’.

Claudia surprisingly revealed she has never tuned in to watch herself, insisting: ‘I can’t or I’d be sick, I can’t imagine how irritating I am’.

The brunette beauty has worked on television for over 30 years and is undoubtedly an extremely talented presenter.

However, the mother-of-three has put a great deal of her success down to ‘luck’. She said: ‘I feel I have already had too long a run. I am incredibly lucky’.
