Purple Wiggle Lachlan ‘Lachy’ Gillespie’s engagement to ballet dancer Dana Stephensen has taken a bizarre turn.
After Dana, 34, broke tradition by proposing to Lachlan, 34, last Thursday night, it has now emerged that the ballerina also popped the question on the same day he married his ex-wife, Yellow Wiggle Emma Watkins.
On April 9, 2016, Lachlan and Emma exchanged vows during a lavish wedding ceremony at the picturesque Hopewood House in Bowral in NSW’s Southern Highlands.

Four years later, Lachlan’s new girlfriend Dana proposed to him while the couple were at home self-isolating with Dana’s son Jasper, four, amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
‘On Thursday night, Dana asked me to marry her at home under a fairy light sky and a very excited little boy in a beautiful bow tie,’ Lachlan wrote to his Instagram fans on Monday, announcing his second engagement.
In the photo, Lachlan was pictured cuddling up to Dana and Jasper inside a bedroom festooned with fairy lights.

The couple, who went public with their relationship in October, beamed with joy as they cuddled up for the milestone photo.
Interestingly, Emma, 30, displayed her approval and support by leaving three purple love hearts underneath the post.
Lachlan and Emma both met Dana when the brunette dancer filmed an episode of The Wiggles in December 2018, five months after the former couple ended their marriage.

Emma’s comment on Monday was praised by fans of the popular children’s group.
They rallied around the redhead, calling her a ‘very strong lady’ and ‘a good person’ for being so supportive.
Meanwhile, Dana shared her own post, writing: ‘At the end of our summer holidays, I walked into the most beautiful surprise – a room filled with the most incredible flowers and Lachy singing at his piano and then asking me to marry him.

Lachlan and Dana first met in December 2018, and publicly confirmed they were in a relationship in October 2019.
