Poh included a series of step-by-step photos, showing her rolling out the dough and butter, shaping the croissants, and then finally watching them bake in the oven.

She was first shown how to make croissants by French pastry chef Emmanuel Mollois during an episode of her cooking show, Poh’s Kitchen, back in 2010.

And they seem to be a favourite for the chef and artist, with Poh also baking croissants at Easter and branding them ‘old mate’.

In a January 2010 interview with The Age, Poh said her culinary goal was simply to ‘get people cooking’.

‘It’s not about doing things perfectly – it’s like learning that you always make mistakes and it’s just about having fun with it,’ she explained.

‘Having a go at experimenting and doing something that’s just wholesome.’

But after returning to MasterChef this year, 11 years after she first appeared on the hit Network Ten cooking series, Poh confessed she’d forgotten how gruelling it is.

‘It was really hard. I forgot how horrible it was to run around and get your equipment. That’s the thing – it’s so stressful,’ she told The Project last month, admitting it did have positive aspects, too.

She added: ‘There’s just this magical sort of electricity that comes from you getting thrown into something where you feel so utterly petrified, and at the end of it, you manage to pull something out of your bum!’
