‘She’s had enough, hasn’t she?’ MasterChef evictee Hayden Quinn claims Poh Ling Yeow gets enough praise as he reveals the competition is now tougher than ever

MasterChef’s Hayden Quinn has said his rival on the hit cooking show, Poh Ling Yeow, gets more than enough attention.

Appearing on The Project on Monday, the newly ousted 34-year-old chef revealed this year’s season is undeniably tough.

‘I promise you that nine years ago when I first walked into that MasterChef kitchen, no one was blowing sugar balloons or doing this or doing that,’ he explained.

‘It was, you know, your classic sort of home cooking elevated. This time around it’s a completely other level.’

He then rattled off a list of the standout contestants from this year’s all-stars series, Back to Win.

‘It’s the best of the best,’ he continued.

‘You’ve got Laura, you’ve got Reynold and Reece and Brendan, Sarah, Callum, all the big names are in there, and it’s just getting better and better and better.’

But there was one name he noticeably left off the list, with Project host Peter Helliar pointing out he forgot to mention high profile contestant Poh, 47.

‘Poh’s had enough, hasn’t she? I’m just joking. I’m just joking,’ laughed Hayden.

Despite initially appearing on different seasons, both Hayden and Poh formed a strong friendship during this year’s series.

Poh found fame on the show’s first season back in 2009, while Hayden appeared two years later on season three.

But the lovable contestant was eliminated from the competition on Sunday, when he failed to make horseradish and beetroot the star ingredients in his final dish, after previously serving the judges raw dumplings.

'Poh's had enough, hasn't she? I'm just joking. I'm just joking,' laughed Hayden, talking about his good friend and cooking rival
