Country singer Adam Brand sees the upside of lockdown 

Adam Brand is in lockdown with his family – and he appreciates every minute. 

The country singer told Seven News that it has been a time of reflection for him, and he’s been considering what’s important. 

The 50-year-old, who is in isolation with his partner Nui and daughter Pepper, who has just turned one, has been enjoying being at home. 

‘I guess everyone’s been saying this, but this is certainly a time for reflection and to look internally into your own home,’ he said. 

Adam added that the lockdown has given him the chance to slow down and smell the roses. 

‘Before all this, I was so busy being busy – and I am really loving this aspect of what we are going through,’ he said. 

He added: ‘The fact that we are spending so much time together in our homes with our families is quite lovely.’

Last year, Adam told Now To Love that fatherhood has changed – and softened him immensely.   

‘It’s turned me into a ball of emotion on two legs,’ the Australian performer admitted. 

‘I’m always pretty emotional anyway. I’m a performer, I’m used to having the hairs on the back of my neck stand up, but this is a whole other level.

‘It’s just the most intensely beautiful thing that I’ve ever, ever experienced’. 

Adam added: To be in a position where I can take an entire year off to spend pretty much every day, creating this incredible bond with her and watching her grow, it’s indescribable!’
