Big Brother viewers are distraught after fan favourite Soobong Hwang is evicted

He may have only been in the Big Brother house for a short period of time, but Soobong Hwang managed to win plenty of fans.

The 48-year-old found himself evicted during Wednesday’s episode, shortly after he entered the Big Brother house.

And his departure left fans devastated, with many viewers already considering the quirky character one of the standout personalities on the show. 

Following his eviction, fans flocked to Twitter to vent their frustration that he wasn’t given a chance. 

‘Y’ALL STUFFED UP. SOOBONG WAS GOLD,’ tweeted one viewer, while another added, ‘SOOBONG DESERVED BETTER.’

Many fans also thought Soobong was ripped off after his experience in the Big Brother house was cut brutally short. 

‘I wanted to see more of Soobong… #disappointed,’ wrote one fan, while someone added, ‘Would have liked to have seen more of Soobong, he seems like a cool dude.’  

Meanwhile, another fan urged the producers of Big Brother to make some necessary changes STAT. 

‘They should do new people can’t get voted. Soobong was barely [sic] there a day and most of it was in a cage,’ they said. 

After receiving 12 votes from the remaining housemates, Soobong was swiftly shown the door. 

‘Soobong, you have to leave the Big Brother house,’ announced Big Brother’s booming voice.

But while he was visibly upset to be leaving so early, Soobong was gracious in his departure.  

‘Maybe I was overconfident… but if I was a threat to them, I gotta take it because that’s what I am,’ he said in the car on his way home. 

‘I have a message for housemate – have fun. Just go for fun. Enjoy and make a big smile. That’s what I wanted to do, so I want you to do exactly same – have fun.’

‘AWWW SOOBONG IS ACTUALLY A SWEETHEART! Just have fun!!!!’ said a fan on Twitter after his eviction.
