Home and Away’s Sam Frost hopes to stay ‘great mates’ with ex-boyfriend Dave Bashford as she speaks about their break-up for the first time
Sam Frost has officially split from Dave Bashford after three years together.
The Home and Away star had all but confirmed their break-up on Tuesday when she revealed on social media that she was ’31, single and fabulous’.
But a representative for the actress made it official on Thursday, releasing a statement saying: ‘Sam and Dave are no longer in a relationship. They remain great mates.’

It comes after Sam shared footage to TikTok earlier this week of herself posing with her dogs and mocking the viral ‘couple challenge’.
Dave was no where to be seen, however, and Sam tellingly added the hashtag #31SingleAndFabulous.
In January, a source had allegedly ‘confirmed’ the pair’s split to Woman’s Day, saying that Sam had decided to prioritise her career over romance.

‘It all became too much for Sam who was going through a lot,’ the source claimed.
‘When things are good, they’re both very happy, but the lows are bad. They argue over trivial things.’
At the time, the couple had not shared a picture together on Instagram since September.

Sam rose to fame when she appeared on the 2014 season of The Bachelorette, where she was chosen by Blake Garvey in the finale only to be dumped shortly after for runner-up Louise Pillidge.
She then became Australia’s first Bachelorette in 2015 and went on to date winner Sasha Mielczarek for 18 months before splitting.
In July 2017 Sam confirmed that she was dating her longtime pal Dave.
