Kimberley Walsh reveals she ‘went wild’ in Cheryl’s garden as soon as lockdown eased

Kimberley Walsh revealed she and Nicola Roberts ‘went wild’ in close friend Cheryl’s garden as soon as lockdown restrictions eased earlier this month.

In an interview with Lorraine Kelly on Thursday’s Good Morning Britain, the musician, 38, highlighted the importance of keeping in touch with friends and family amid the coronavirus pandemic.

The discussion later took an awkward turn as the singer’s internet reception froze when the presenter, 60, asked whether there’s a Girls Aloud reunion in the works.

‘It was lovely’: Kimberley Walsh revealed she and Nicola Roberts ‘went wild’ in close friend Cheryl’s garden as soon as lockdown restrictions eased earlier this month

The Promise hitmaker explained how she was keeping in touch with her bandmates Nicola, 34, and Cheryl, 37, via Zoom, and admitted she couldn’t wait to meet up with them again for the first time in over 14 weeks once the COVID-19 guidelines slightly lifted.

Kimberley told the host: ‘It’s important to keep that connection with close friends and family.

‘It’s been lovely to see them in the flesh, it’s been so long. I saw Nicola the other day, it was lovely to see her and she’s been isolating herself bless her.’

Confessing the trio let loose once garden visits were permitted, the theatre actress said: ‘And as soon as lockdown restrictions were lifted we were straight round to Cheryl’s. We spent lots of time going wild in her garden!’

The media personality went on to share how she’s been finding UK’s new normal with husband Justin Scott and their sons Bobby, five, and Cole, three.

Kimberley detailed: ‘I’m not gonna lie, when first get news that we were going into lockdown and I would have to home-school, I was like “aaah!”

‘You do worry, how are we going to entertain two energetic boys for so long in the house. But the weather has been great and we’ve been able to spend a lot of time as a family outside.

‘Home schooling had been challenging but it has worked and it’s not been as hard as we thought it would be.’

In April, Irish singer Nadine, 34, hinted the girl band, who split in 2013, could be set to come together once more.

It’s said the five piece could bag millions if they embark on a nationwide tour, while there’s a possibility of also releasing new music.

Confirming that there’s been talks of a reunion, Nadine told The Sun: ‘There’s been loads of conversations and people now are getting in contact, like, ‘What do we do?’ It’s still early.’

While she said on Angela Scanlon’s Thanks A Million podcast: ‘I’m 34 years old so to think that I’ve been doing anything for 20 years is shocking, isn’t it?’
