Hailey first began her career as a professional model at the age of 14, when she was signed on the spot by Ford Models at an open casting call in Los Angeles.

The blonde went on to star in campaigns for Gucci, Calvin Klein, Topshop and Zara, and was even featured in an alternate music video for Jay-Z’s Empire State Of Mind with other top models lip-syncing to the lyrics.

Though she’d already modeled for an impressive array of brands, a spot on the cover of Sports Illustrated in 2016 helped her rocket to fame.

While speaking with the Associated Press, Hailey credited Sports Illustrated for reviving her career.

The catwalk star said: ‘I started really young. My body changed and nobody wanted me anymore until I met Sports Illustrated. I was not a size zero and I had curves and they accepted me the way I was.

‘And I think they continue to do that with girls that people don’t expect and they’re setting a really great example.’
