MAFS: Why Natasha Spencer and Mikey Pembroke did not attend the dinner party

Revealed: Why Married At First Sight’s Natasha Spencer and Mikey Pembroke did not attend the dinner party – and it wasn’t because they had ‘just started to fix’ their relationship

Married At First Sight‘s Natasha Spencer and Mikey Pembroke were a no-show at the dinner party on Wednesday night.

During the episode, it was briefly explained that they wanted to avoid the ‘drama’ surrounding the other couples and focus on their own relationship.

But a source has since claimed that producers told them not to attend due to concerns over Natasha’s mental wellbeing.

‘It all got too much for her,’ an insider told Woman’s Day. ‘She wasn’t coping in the experiment and with what was going down between certain contestants. It was decided she shouldn’t be on camera.’

Senior producers elected to keep the 26-year-old financial analyst in her apartment while the other participants went to the dinner party.

Because she wasn’t attending, it was also decided that Mikey, 29, shouldn’t go either.

Meanwhile, another source told News.com.au that production company Endemol Shine had arranged for Natasha to have a break from the show in Bali.

Before Wednesday night’s dinner party, Natasha explained that she and Mikey had decided to skip the event because they had ‘just started to fix things’.

‘This week’s for our marriage and the best thing that we can do right now is focus on ourselves, focus on our relationship and just remove ourselves from the drama,’ she added.

Mikey also said: ‘We know how important those dinner parties are to the experiment.

‘But it’s imperative for our relationship to avoid the drama… and just concentrate on us before we decide what we’re gonna do moving forward.’
