Amir Khan and wife Faryal prank daughter, 5, about father’s identity

Amir Khan and his wife Faryal Makhdoom have come under fire for pranking their five-year-old daughter.

The professional boxer, 33, and his spouse, 28, filmed themselves telling their eldest child Lamaisah that Amir isn’t her biological father, before showing her a picture of ‘real dad’ Bradley Cooper.

After it was exposed as an elaborate prank, the little girl burst into tears and sobbed ‘I don’t like jokes!’.

The footage, watched by MailOnline, has been deleted from the couple’s socials after it was met with a negative response from their shocked followers.

In the video, Faryal is seen crouching on the floor of their family living room with Lamaisah and Alayna, two, playing beside her.

The clip begins with the mother-of-three – who also has two-month-old son Muhammad with Faryal – telling Lamaisah, ‘This is your real dad… do you want to speak to him?’

She shows her daughter a picture on her phone, prompting cameraman Amir to tell his wife to turn the image towards him.

Faryal flashes the screen at the camera, revealing a red carpet picture of A Star Is Born actor Bradley.

Amir asks his daughter, ‘Do you want to talk to your real dad?’, and she nods. Faryal calls an assistant named Carl, who pretends to be Bradley.

Passing the phone to Lamaisah, the young girl comes over all shy as her mum urges her, ‘That’s your dad, talk to him!’

The call accidentally connects to FaceTime, however, revealing the video caller to be none other than Carl.

When Lamaisah realises it was a prank, she begins crying. ‘That’s your real daddy, you look just like him!’, Faryal consoles the little girl, talking about Amir.

The video was viewed 9,000 times and racked up over 70 comments before it was removed, according to The Sun.

MailOnline has contacted both stars’ representatives for comment.

Meanwhile, Faryal has revealed she has been struggling to cope with a newborn amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Speaking to Metro, Faryal revealed that she also suffered from postnatal depression after the birth of her first child, and although it didn’t feel ‘as bad’ this time, there is the added pressure of the coronavirus pandemic.

She mused: ‘Having a newborn baby and then knowing what’s going on in the world, all these deaths are happening, everyone struggling and people getting laid off of jobs, it was really taking a toll on me, you know?

‘I was getting really, really upset. But I just try to keep myself busy doing other things, reading books and finding time out, praying and meditating. And I try to make it go a positive way.

‘It was a bit tough when I first found out we’re going to be on a lockdown and we won’t be able to do much. It was a bit hard coping with that, but I’m getting used to it.’

Earlier this month, Amir claimed the secret to his six-year marriage to Faryal is having a separate house.

The boxer revealed he resides in a two-bedroom ‘lad pad’ attached to their main home in Bolton from time to time.

The former welterweight champion stressed the importance of ‘having your own space’ in a relationship as he juggles his successful sporting career with fatherhood.

Last week, Amir personally delivered face masks, hand sanitisers and orange juice drinks to hospitals, care homes and fire stations

He and his friends had filled a rented van with all the items and carried the supplies to each place, doing all the heavy lifting themselves.

Posting a series of videos to his Instagram account, he wrote: ‘A trip to Bolton hospital with “amirkhanfoundation “wbccares to give face masks, sanitisers and drinks. Keep up the good work. Well done #Bolton #Covid19.’

Amir made sure he was safe for the outing, wearing a mask and gloves and posing for pictures.
