MAFS’ Elizabeth Sobinoff travels from Newcastle to Sydney to fix her hair extensions

Going to great lengths! MAFS star Elizabeth Sobinoff travels from Newcastle to Sydney to ‘feel fresh’ by fixing her hair extensions at a salon

Married At First Sight bride Elizabeth Sobinoff has shown fans how she achieves her enviable long locks.

The 29-year-old influencer filmed her visit to a salon, Hair Extension Bar, in Double Bay on Wednesday.

Elizabeth lives in Newcastle, and seemingly traveled at least two hours to Sydney for the exclusive treatment.

‘Back over at the Hair Extension Bar with Ash and Georgie and we’re just going to get these pulled back up,’ Elizabeth said on her Instagram stories.

The hairstylist replied: ‘Yeah, we’re going to get them retied. So they’ve grown out. We usually recommend clients coming back every six weeks.

‘So we’re going to go back through every single one and pull them back up.’

While on MAFS, Elizabeth used tape-in extensions, but she has since gone for a more natural looking alternative, known as Minikin hair beads, which are apparently exclusive to this particular salon.

Elizabeth has naturally short hair, cutting off at her shoulders, primarily due to damage from repeatedly dying and bleaching her hair over time.

The journey to Sydney comes after the reality star suggested her self-isolation in Newcastle helped her ‘disconnect from people’ and focus on herself.

Speaking to PopSugar this week, Elizabeth said: ‘I feel like I’ve just been running completely on adrenaline in a way and I haven’t been fully focused on myself.’

‘I’ve grown so much, but… I haven’t touched base with myself,’ she explained.

Elizabeth went on to say that being in self-isolation has encouraged her to return to the things she enjoys most, such as reading a book and relaxing.

She also revealed she’s turned off comments on her Instagram posts, explaining it helped her feel better about herself.

She has spent the time apart from her partner Seb Guilhaus, who is in lockdown in Adelaide, while Elizabeth remains in Newcastle with family.
