Sia performs new track Together with dancer muse Maddie Ziegler on The Tonight Show: At Home Edition

Sia delivered a whimsical performance of her new single Together during Tuesday evening’s episode of The Tonight Show: At Home Edition with Jimmy Fallon.

For the nearly three-minute performance, the 44-year-old singer effortlessly belted the lyrics to her track as longtime muse Maddie Ziegler, 17, performed an animated dance routine.

Together is one of 10 original songs featured in the upcoming motion picture Music – written and directed by Sia.   

The film – slated for a September 2020 theatrical release – stars Ziegler, Kate Hudson, Leslie Odom Jr., and more.

For the song’s debut performance, Sia donned a curly, duo-toned wig, a larger than life bow, and a tie-dyed onesie, while sitting on a couch covered in a white sheet. 

Ziegler was positioned behind Sia and began removing bundles of colorful tulle from around Sia’s head as she sang.

Maddie wore a multi-colored pastel wig and a light pink body suit for her choreographed number, while a set piece meant to simulate clouds rested behind her and Sia. 

Maddie then launched off the couch, twirled before the camera, and returned with a bucket of suds, while hoards of bubbles filled the space from off screen.

The scene – meant to simulate a bubble bath – showed Maddie aggressively scrubbing Sia and herself with a bright green loofah.

Once Maddie took the bucket of suds out of frame, the bubbles stopped and the camera zoomed out.

With Sia still comfortably sat on the couch, Maddie – providing the audience with a myriad of dramatic facial expression – reappeared with two plates of flapjacks in her hands and a pink spatula.

She placed the plates onto the coffee table positioned in front of Sia before breaking out into a series of impressive gymnast moves. 

Without warning, Maddie began to toss the pancakes one-by-one onto the floor in front of her until there were none left on the plates.

The Dance Moms alum grabbed the plates, exited the scene, and quickly returned to perform a quirky dance that required her to stick her hands into a pair of high heels.

She ‘walked’ out of frame with the purple pumps and then returned to raise Sia from her sitting position.

Maddie began slipping a blouse onto one of the Chandelier singer’s arms before placing a pair of colorful, cotton ball-covered earmuffs over her own ears.

She then straddled Sia’s neck from behind and performed with a variety of props as Sia belted the song’s final chorus

One particular prop was a set of bright, yellow weights made out of foam that she lifted out and over her head.

For the performance’s grand finale, Maddie brought an oversized Connect Four game into frame and placed it in front of Sia’s face. 

The video’s director Tonya Brewer zoomed the camera lens in on one of the game board’s holes, so the audience could view Sia through it.

‘I want it, I want love, please deliver it,’ sang Sia, before Maddie inserted a game piece – with a heart drawn on it – from the top of the vertical board.

The piece perfectly covered the camera’s view of Sia’s face.

The colorful pair then joined one another on the couch and lovingly swayed back and forth to the final seconds of the catchy tune.

With Maddie and Sia engaging in a strong embrace, a sun – carried into frame by a third party – positioned itself over them.

‘I love you Jimmy,’ said Sia before the scene faded to black.
