In a heartfelt caption, the TV personality acknowledged she looked ‘very slim’ as she posted a throwback photo and revealed she was diagnosed with the condition shortly after it was taken.
Polycystic ovary syndrome is a hormonal disorder causing enlarged ovaries with small cysts on the outer edges. Symptoms include menstrual irregularity, excess hair growth, acne, and obesity.

Gemma said she tries to ‘remain positive’ and urged her followers to be kind as health issues can cause people to be overweight rather than diet and exercise.
She penned: ‘As you can see guys when I was in my 20s I was very slim then I was told I had PCOS and it’s been a struggle ever since however I make the most of myself and remain positive because it’s what in your heart counts the most.
