Tim Robards has shown fans how to achieve his buff physique by detailing his intense workout on Instagram.

The first video showed Tim resting just his shoulders on a bench, as he lifted dumbbells up and over his head to the front of his chest.

In the second video, the Neighbours actor rested the front of his torso on an elevated bench and proceeded to lift the dumbbells from his side, over his head.

He detailed the workout in the caption, with the trained chiropractor explaining both exercises ‘improve posture’.

‘2 great exercises to improve posture (rounded upper back and forward head carriage mainly) and I’m proven [improved] shoulder range,’ he explained.

Tim said the first workout was called a ‘pullover’ and described it as ‘a great way to open up the thoracic, focusing on dropping the elbow either side of bench’.

The second workout was called a ’45 degree shoulder raise’, which is ‘great to improve shoulder extension, thoracic strength and range’.

In a separate post on Instagram last month, the expectant father revealed he had been training since the age of 13.

‘I started training at 13 because I wanted to join the school footy team but I lacked the confidence,’ he confessed.

‘I made a decision to get disciplined, put in the work and build my confidence. I continue to build on my own self belief and confidence EVERY SINGLE DAY!

‘Some days I’m sweating balls with nerves and other days I feel I could take on the world… the thing that remains CONSTANT… is the same belief I had when I was 13… the belief that IF I PUT IN THE WORK, I can be BETTER THAN I WAS YESTERDAY!’
